Your guides are more than photographers—they’re marine biologists and science communicators, deeply rooted in Hawai‘i’s conservation community. Learn the stories behind each encounter: how humpback whales use their flukes, how dolphins communicate in clicks, how green sea turtles navigate ancient migration routes. These stories are alive, shared by experts who’ve logged hours in the field and worked closely with citizen science platforms like HappyWhale.

Limited to just eight guests on shared charters (suggested age 10 and over), this six-hour adventure ensures personalized attention and a truly immersive experience, departing just 10 miles from Ko Olina. Four person minimum to set sail. Once we have four booked, singles, couples, and trios can book alongside them. Inquire if trouble booking for less than four, likely the minimum hasn’t been met for that date – or we already have one of the other charters booked (we only have one boat).

What ocean wildlife can be seen?

Offshore Species:

• 8 species of baleen whales
• 18 species of toothed whales and dolphins
• 22 species of pelagic seabirds – including rare and often endemic species
• Whale Sharks
• Manta Rays and Spotted Eagle Rays

• Flying fish

Nearshore:

• About 23% of Hawaiian reef fish, and 20% of the corals are considered endemic.
• Green Sea Turtles
• Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins

What will we do on the tour?

Oahu’s calmer west side has 5 FAD’s (Fish Aggregation Devices), combined with natural steep ocean ledges, attracting a variety of pelagic species. We’ll shoot for Ka’ena Point on Oahu’s wild NW point. The crossing ocean currents found at the point cause upwelling bringing nutrients into the food chain.
